Change the view of the Rubik’s Cube

View the diffrent sides of the Rubik's Cube

In the control panel you will find the »view« combo box.
There you can select, which side of the Rubik's Cube you want to see.
 
 

Scale the Rubik’s Cube

For scaling the Rubik's Cube you have two possibilities :
(1)
Click the »Options/Help« button in the control panel. A new window will be opened. Click there on the card file »Rubik’s Cube«. With the »scale« slider you can zoom the Rubik’s Cube. A scaling of 0 shows the Rubik’s Cube far in the distance.
A scaling of 100 zooms the Rubik’s Cube just in front of you.

Press the Alt - key and the left mouse button. Moving the mouse, the Rubik's Cube will be scaled.

Set the transparency of the Rubik’s Cube

Click the »Options/Help« button in the control panel. A new window will be opened. Click there on the card file »Rubik’s Cube« . With the  »transparency« slider you can set the transparency of the Rubik’s Cube. Setting the transparency to 0 , the Rubik’s Cube will be not transparent. A transparency of 100 makes the Rubik’s Cube invisible.

Scale the surface area of the little cubes

Click the »Options/Help« button in the control panel. A new window will be opened. Click there on the card file
»Rubik’s Cube«. With the »scale surfaces« slider you can change the size of the little cube’s surfaces. Setting the scale to 100 , the little cube’s surfaces will touch each other . With a scale less 100 the little cube’s surfaces will be scaled down, so that you can look through the Rubik’s Cube. A scale of 0 makes the Rubik’s Cube invisible.

Show the surface inside of the Rubik’s Cube

Click the »Options/Help« button in the control panel. A new window will be opened. Click there on the card file »Rubik’s Cube«. If you activate the »show back faces« box the surface inside of the Rubik’s Cube will be shown . If the box is deselected the inside will be not rendered.

    You will only see an effect, if you have scaled the surface area of the little cubes, so that you can look through the
          Rubik’s  Cube.

Draw a new Rubik’s Cube 

In the control panel you will find a »cubes« combo box. There you will find the entries 2x2x2, 3x3x3, …, 6x6x6.
If you select e.g. the 3x3x3 entry, a new Rubik’s Cube with three little cubes in each row will be drawn.
The new Rubik’s Cube will be drawn ,with the settings of your old cube.

Start a new game 

In the control panel you will find a »puzzle« combo box. There select the entry  »start« and a new solved Rubik’s Cube will appear. Then you can start playing again.

Puzzle the Rubik’s Cube 

In the control panel you will find a »puzzle« combo box. There you will find the entries Level1 … Level10. Level1 will rotate the sides of your Rubik’s Cube five times, Level2 will rotate the sides 10 times and so on . Maybe Level10 with 50 rotations is a little bit too difficult . But try it !
You can puzzle your Rubik’s Cube after you have press the start entry or after you have drawn a new Rubik’s Cube. But it is also possible to play a few times and puzzle the cube after that . But when you have once puzzled the cube, it is not possible to puzzle it again. You must first start a new game or draw a new Rubik’s Cube.

Rotate the Rubik’s Cube 

Press the »cube« radio button in the control panel. Then click on the Rubik’s Cube with the left mouse button. Keep the left mouse button pressed and move your mouse around. The Rubik’s Cube will rotate.

With the »c« - key you can swith between the »cube« and the »face« radio button.

Rotate the sides of the Rubik’s Cube 

 
Press the »face« radio button in the control panel. Then click with the pressed left mouse button on a surface of a little cube. Move the mouse up/down/left/right and the side, which contains the little cube you have pressed onto, will rotate up/down/left/right .
With the »c« - key you can swith between the »cube« and the »face« radio button.
 
  You have to move the mouse over  two surfaces. Otherwise there will nothing happen.
        The smaller the surfaces are scaled the more difficult it will be to rotate the sides.

Change the light 

Two lights are directed towards the Rubik’s Cube. You can manipulate them in the following way :

Turn the light on or off

Click the »Options/Help« button in the control panel. A new window will be opened. Click there on the card file
»Lights 1«.There you will find for each light a »show light« box .Select or deselect the box and the light will turn on or off.
 

Set the light to a new position

Click the »Options/Help« button in the control panel. A new window will be opened. Click there on the card file
»Lights 1«.There you will find for each light 9 radio buttons and a combo box.
The radio buttons show  the positions you can set the light to:
                                                left-up              centre-up          right up
                                                middle-left        centre               middle-right
                                                left-down          centre-down     right-down
With the combo box you can choose the front, middle or back plane.

Change the colour of the light

Click the »Options/Help« button in the control panel. A new window will be opened. Click there on the card file
»Lights 1«.There you will find for each light a »colour of light« combo box. Click on the colour you will set your light to.

»Lights 2« .There you will find a »show light« box .Select or deselect the box and the ambient light will turn on or off.

Change the colour of the ambient light

Click the »Options/Help« button in the control panel. A new window will be opened. Click there on the card file
»Lights 2«.There you will find a »colour of light « combo box. Click on the colour you will set your ambient light to.

Change the background

Change the colour of the background

Click the »Options/Help« button in the control panel. A new window will be opened. Click there on the card file »Lights2«.There you will find a »colour« combo box. Click on the colour you will set your background to.

Set the intensity of the background colour

Click the »Options/Help« button in the control panel. A new window will be opened. Click there on the card file »Lights2«. There you will find a »nuance« slider. A value of 0 sets the background to black independent of the colour you have chosen .
A value of 100 sets the colour, you have chosen, to a full bright intensity.

Set the transparency of the cube pointer

Click the »Options/Help« button in the control panel. A new window will be opened. Click there on the card file »Effects«.
With the »transparency« slider you can set the transparency of the cube pointer. Is the transparency set to 0 , the cube pointer is not transparent. A transparency of 100 makes the cube pointer nearly invisible.

Set the colour of the cube pointer

Click the »Options/Help« button in the control panel. A new window will be opened. Click there on the card file »Effects«. There you will find a »colour« combo box. Click on the colour you will set your cube pointer to.

Show or hide the cube pointer

Click the »Options/Help« button in the control panel. A new window will be opened. Click there on the card file »Effects«. There you will find a »show pointer« box. Select or deselect the box to show or to hide the cube pointer.
